Hmm, a WaMo asking for help? Maybe there IS hope...
Basically, if you were a Warrior/Monk prebuilt, then people would not want to play with you, as you were most likely a "paladin"...

It is what some call...the 'Leetnes' of the game. That is, some players think that if you relied on someone else's build, and that is all the pre-buils are, than you must suck as a player, which of course is absurd to automatically relate the two items. And in turn, if you do have a pre-build, they are ever-that-much better than you, and that you do not deserve to be breathing similar air as them. Those players tend to fall flat on their faces due to over-confidence, or if not, they lose the priviledge of playing the game with fun, talented players like us!

Next time, ask them a question back: "why, did someone else stumble across my uber-secret build?"

I would PUG with you, just because you were at least curious enough to find out what was going on.

tlr = speaker of truth.
Prebuilds are not bad... At least, the Fi Boon Healer and stuff are very useful. If not as the exact build, then to serve as a hint of what does well, and what doesnt...

Thx...

I feel games are supposed to be fun, so....I have fun playing them.

When they cease to be fun...I cease to play them. Quite simple really.

Enjoy GW while us 'fun' players still exist!

If you think all Pre-Builts are bad you need to learn how to use them right, now of course they may not stand up to custom with a lot of unlocked skils and items. I currently use the W/M (Pally) I have won a lot of games in a row and barley lost, its all on how you play the char, not on what other people "beleive" for how they stink.

Don't listen to the haters talk about pre-builds ... I use a modified version of the DW healer premade char for most of my PvP when I run healing monk, it does work splendidly well ... in fact just yesterday held HoH for 2-3 rounds before being sublimely trounced by a spike air ele build ... at least it wasn't IWAY

Not to say that you shouldn't practice with it a bit first, to get the feel of it ... and see if there is anything you want to change around (in my case I traded out smite hex for remove hex, and a few other minimal changes). I would recommend practicing in CA (random arenas) first, as you run into less "structure" there because it's random team assignment ... team arenas will (in most cases) walk all over you unless you plan carefully.

And really, to the people who say "ZOMG n00b why are j00 using dat skill? you are the sux0rs!": get a life, and let people play how they want to play. If you don't have any constructive criticism, yeep your noise-hole shut.

All the prebuilts if unmodified, have serious flaws.

They are meant to be that way. So someone cant just pickup the game and "pwnzor".

Some of them are good with some attribute reworking, or a few skills swithed out.

Agreed, thats why I stated in my post they don't really stand up to people with unlocked skills and items. Sometimes but rarley. I have a moded W/M with unlocked items however, which pwns! :O

In one match it was just me and this monk vs 4 others, I was getting attacked by all 4 while resing my team and they barley hurt me! So funny, lasted about 1m stright just resing my team, however my team left and we lost, since it was me and the monk.

I'm gathering information and designing a build to use in the new year when i get my comp back. Being i havent EVER played GW, and i'm going ONLY by what i'm reading and other peoples opinions, even though i'm apparently planning something thats REALLY not common, will i be considered as being pre built? When i make the character, it wont REALLY be my own character but the ideas of other, more experienced players al thrown together.

No. What the others are talking about, is that you have an option in your PvP only character setup screen to use a "premade" character ... IE, all your skills and attributes are already picked out for you from a pre-determined template.

I think they have a contest, or ask the top 10 ranked guilds, to submit builds for the list. Something along those lines. People's knee-jerk reaction to pre-made builds is: "oh, you obviously have no idea what you're doing, so you picked one of those" ... which is not always the case. As I said somewhere up there ^ I use a modified version of one of the pre-built monks, and it works quite well ... unless i'm under heavy-hex from a mesmer ... but what caster can work well then?
